Deer Picture Published

Here is a picture I shot with my camera while on the Arrowhead Stand at the famous Christmas Place Plantation and Hunting Club in the Mississippi Delta . It was published today in The Vicksburg Post. I saw 15 deer off of this stand that afternoon on a Youth Weekend hunt. The young hunters brought in seven deer that day. An exciting day for all of us in the great wild outdoors! Charming, Just Charming!

Thank you Adam...I am proud of this picture. I have had several published but this is my favorite. Readers can submit photos and it's only published once a week on Sundays.

Marian; I can see momma watching on intensely while nursing her young and I bet it wasn't long before she departed your company. Great photo, Thanks and glad you enjoyed yourself while out there.

deerslayer...She was watching and was able to get another shot then she kicked the fawn out of the way and continued to feed across the field..I only spooked one deer as it was coming at the edge of the field at the far end. All the others I did not spook. It was a wonderful afternoon hunting with my camera that I will never forget.

deerslayer and Adam - go to the Arrowhead Stand link and it will tell you all about the hunt and the story behind the picture of the fawn suckling. :)
