Vicksburgers On The Hunt

Jillian Creel, 11, bagged her first deer while hunting on private land in southern Warren County.  The 7 pointer weighed 180 pounds and had a 15-inch spread. Jillian is the daughter of Alisha and Al Creel.

Husband and wife Shirley and Robert Henry each killed a deer in the last week.  Shirley Henry killed a 9-point buck with a primitive weapon in northern Warren County.  Her deer had main beams of 19-1/2 and 19 inches, a spread of 15-1/2 inches, bases of 4-1/2 inches, and weighed 200 pounds.
Vicksburg resident Robert Henry killed this 10-point buck with a primitive weapon on December 8 in northern Warren County.  The deer weighed 200 pounds, had a spread of 18 inches, a 5-1/2 inch base, and the main beams measured 22-3/4 inches and 22 inches.

Vicksburg resident Cade Walters shot this 8-point, 140-pound deer with a .308 rifle on private land in Bovina on November 18.  The deer's rack measured 16-1/2 inches wide and 16-1/2 inches on the main beam.  Cade is the son of Mark and Cathy Walters.

My congrats to all our Vicksburger's who hunted in our great wild outdoors!
