Parker - Little Eagle Eye

Mike Schmid of La Barge, WY, and he son, Parker, went moose hunting and said, "Oh, man, what a morning.  Parker spotted these Moose shortly after daylight. We watched them for a while hoping we could get a direction, instead they walked into some cottonwoods and cedars and bedded down. We spent 2-1/2 hours stalking them. Ended up being two Bulls tending this old girl...we eased our way up to about 80 yards when one of the Bulls made us and stood up. Shortly the other two did the same. They started to walk away and that's when we grunted at them and got them stopped. We got a big cedar tree between us and inched closer and where I could get a rest with the .280 Remington. I got up to a Cottonwood to use as a rest with Parker right on my heels. She was about 90 or so yards out. When she turned broadside we put one in the boiler room. I will never forget this day!

Congratulations to Mike and his son Parker making memories of a lifetime in our wild outdoors!
