My buddy and I had gone out for breakfast and heard something about the Twin Towers on the radio. Didn’t realized what had happened until we got back to the hotel and people were gathered around the TV. Long story short we spent the next 20 hours driving a rental car back home.Joehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08167025586708740663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37314802.post-6893093466858156952010-09-11T18:19:40.421-05:002010-09-11T18:19:40.421-05:00I was dropping the kids off a school at Dana Rd. The kids were getting out of the car and I told one of the teachers that a plane just hit the Twin Towers but was not sure what exactly happened. When I returned back home, I turned on the Today Show and saw what was unfolding (live) I said Oh My God! I called Momma, sisters, even a friend from Michigan. We could not believe what we were seeing...kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15677822934467438064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37314802.post-6556565113349927112010-09-11T17:45:01.983-05:002010-09-11T17:45:01.983-05:00I want either Bill. I was in my car headed to work (receptionist) at the Vicksburg Convention Center and it came on the radio...when I went into the office everyone was in the back watching it on TV. I saw what was happening and came back to my desk and sat down and felt so alone and afraid. My daughter called and said she loved me and went back to watching it again and I said, what happened to the towers and they told me they had fallen. I felt so bad for all the innocent people who had lost their lives. It was indeed a terrible day for us. Two of our employees were on a plane flying to Iowa to the home office and had to land and could not leave for several days. My sister-in-law was in Europe with customers of a tour group that she put together and they could not come home. It was the worst days of our lives to know that our homeland was under attack. A horrible, horrible feeling. I hope and pray that it never happens again also Bill.<br />(We were fortunate that we had no events going on that day - if we had - everything would have stopped)Marian Ann Lovehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09189162059138923328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37314802.post-35847256244285203682010-09-11T15:20:48.982-05:002010-09-11T15:20:48.982-05:00Hi Marian

I was heading to a teacher's meeting and it was canceled because everyone was so uspet over what had happened. I hope and pray that it never happens again. So many indivduals lost their lives that day through a senseless act of hated towards the U.S. Thanks for the post.Bill Trussellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15351692272817692157noreply@blogger.com
