On May 9th I took this picture of an empty barge headed to the Port of Vicksburg in the Yazoo River Diversion Canal (passing by Horizon Vicksburg Casino & Hotel) while headed towards the Mississippi River. My sorority, Pi Alpha Kappa, had planned this trip on the "Sweet Olive" which is a tourist excursion boat docked at the riverfront. We had a wonderful time going into the Mississippi River and under the two bridges at Vicksburg. This was our last meeting and we had brought food and wine aboard and had a wonderful time.
