A Christmas Breakfast Pizza

I want to share with you a recipe that I fix quite frequently for breakfast. It would certainly be a hit come Christmas morning with your family and loved ones. Happy Holidays!

1 pound deer sausage or bulk pork sausage

1 (8-ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls

1 cup frozen loose-pack hash brown potatoes, thawed

1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

4 eggs, beaten

1/4 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Pimiento (optional)

Fresh or dried oregano (optional)

Cook sausage in medium skillet until brown; drain and set aside. Separate crescent dough into 8 triangles. Place with elongated points toward center of greased 12-inch pizza pan or dish. Press bottom and sides to form crust; seal perforations. Spoon sausage over dough.

Sprinkle with hash brown potatoes and cheddar cheese. Combine eggs, milk, salt and pepper; our over sausage mixture. Bake at 375 for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and bake an additional 5 minutes.

Garnish with pimiento and fresh or dried oregano. (The oregano makes the pizza) Yields 6 to 8 servings. Enjoy!
