STAR Student ~ STAR Teacher

St. Aloyisus High School
Christopher, the 18 year son of Conrad and Patricia Rabalais, is a member of the football, track and field, Quiz Bowl and math and science teams at St. Aloyisus. He was the winner of the Kodak Young Leader Award and the 2008 Virgadamo Award, was named a 2007 National Scholar Athlete and was a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha and Key Club. He was also co-editor of his school's yearbook in 2007 and became an Eagle Scout in 2005. Christopher plans to attend Louisiana Tech University and study civil engineering.
Christopher's STAR Teacher is St. Al algebra and calculus instructor Eleanor Phillips. She has a bachelor's degree in secondary education from Mississippi State University. This is the third time Phillips, who has taught for 17 years, has been named a STAR Teacher.
Eleanor is our daughter-in-law and we are so proud of her. Congratulations El! This is a sweetthing!

  1. Congrats to the daughter-in-law. I have been out of town, and haven't read any blogs in a week or so. I hope that everything is well and that the weather is treating you guys and gals much nicer this week.

  2. Thanks simplyoutdoors for coming by and congratulating my step-daughter-in-law. Husband and I have been having some medical issues but hopefully we are on the road to recovery. We are forecast to get some more bad weather this afternoon and tomorrow. Hopefully, not what we have just been through....was fortunate our lights did not go out.
