Youth on the Hunt

Just a few weeks after killing her first deer, 6-year-old McKayla Daves got her second while hunting on her family's alligator farm in Tensas, LA, earlier this month. Daves shot this 9-point buck just before dusk. The rack is 20 inches wide and had a rough Boone and Crockett score of 140. Daves is the daughter of Johnny and Connie Daves of Newellton, LA.

Logan Sanderford, 6, shot her first deer, an 8-point buck, on November 16 in northern Warren County while hunting with her father. Logan is the daughter of Bill and Jennifer Sanderford of Vicksburg.

Lacey Parker, 6, killed her first deer on November 15. She took down the 115-pound doe with a .243 rifle while hunting with her father, Mike. Lacey is the daughter of Mike and Angela Parker.

Karley Whittington, 9, shot her first deer while hunting with her father, Daryle, at Hills and Hollows Hunting Club. Karley used a .243 rifle to shoot the 105-pound doe from a distance of 70 yards.

Kyle Boyd, 10, shot this 6-point buck while hunting in Scott County on November 16. It was his first deer. Kyle is the son of Angela and Rick Boyd of Vicksburg. Congrats to all our young hunters in our great outdoors! Charming, Just Charming!
