Ethan's Headed to Christmas Place

Ethan, my grandson, Bob and I are invited up to Rex's famous Christmas Place Plantation and Hunting Club for the 4th Annual Youth Hunt. Ethan is so excited about getting to go hunting and hopefully get his very first deer. He will be using my .270 to hunt with. We have to wait until he gets out of school this afternoon at Raymond High and then head on up to the
deer camp. We are all looking forward to seeing everyone at the camp and wish all the young hunters a successful hunt this weekend in our great wild outdoors!

  3. Some of my fondest memories are of the youth hunts my son and I used to attend. When he was too young to really hunt, we would wind up wrestling in the leaves behind the camo-netting. Once three does walked up to see what was going on!

You can't beat a .270...used one my entire hunting career, however, I started my son out with 12 gauge slugs!
