I was so excited to open up today's Sunday paper and see a picture that I submitted to The Vicksburg Post for publication. I had emailed it in about two weeks ago and when it did not appear in last Sunday's paper, I thought, maybe next time. It took me about 6 tries to finally get this one shot. Of course, by the time I click the picture it had flown away and as the saying goes...busy as a bee! I enjoy taking pictures and have been fortunate to have had several published. It's a good feeling to know your photography is worthy of being shared with the readers of my hometown of Vicksburg. (Caption under picture reads - Marian Love Phillips watched as a bee in her backyard bellied up for some nectar from purple flowers)
