Deer and Coyote Pix

My Mississippi friend, Spirit Quest, who now lives in Arkansas, took these pictures of a doe and a coyote over the weekend and sharing them with you. She said that the doe absolutely froze in her tracks, and got one shot looking directly ahead of herself.  The last shot she got, she had turned and started walking back into the woods.

Hunting season is knocking on our door and fall is in the air.  Can't wait to get back in the woods to hog/deer hunt at Rex's (Deer Camp Blog) famous Christmas Place Plantation and Hunting Club in the MS Delta. Looking forward to a great hunting season in our wild outdoors!

Doe startled.

Doe caught in camera.

Pictures of deer and coyote taken about a mile from her home.

Footnote:  Spirit Quest takes her camera everywhere she goes and never had a trail cam.  She lives in the National Forest of Scott County, between Mena and Waldron, Arkansas and see these animals daily when driving the roads, not to mention them coming through her yard almost daily! Her land edges the Ouachita National Forest.  What a lucky lady hunter!

  1. I cant wait to our huntingseason starts 1st Oct. Then I can let my dogs loose for deerhunting. On the 10th Oct our moosehunting starts. I hope we wont get so much early snow in Nov like last year. The hunting with my dogs were over so early. We can hunt until last Jan normally.
