Water Soaked

Got up this morning and looked out the back porch and saw this...a section of our wooden fence blown out from the winds and rain from tropical storm Lee.  When Katrina came through in 2005 we lost a limb from a huge oak tree to the right and it knocked out our chain linked dog pen.  Had part of the tree removed and my neighbor next door did not want her side cut down...so a limb soon fell and knocked out another 6 feet of our fence to the right.  Looks like our nice wooden fence is doomed.

UPDATE:  Found out this afternoon when my grandson came over to help me with the fence that the wind did not knock it down but my neighbors behind me hit it.  I don't suppose they will ever own up to it.  The board at the base was busted out and my security sign on the outside of the fence was all crumpled up.  So much for good neighbors!

We will continued to have high winds most of today.  The rain has stopped here for now and cooler weather is on its way!  We have a lot of flooding towards Jackson, our Capitol and surrounding towns with  tornadoes bouncing all over the place for the last day or so.  We also have two highways closed because of the flooding.  All this is moving towards the east where they don't need more rain. Also, meteorologist don't know exactly where this new hurricane, Katia, is headed and we need to do a lot of praying for our friends and neighbors.

  2. Hope you can get your fence fixed soon.

This year is sure bringing a lot of natural extreme events. Wonder what the Fall and Winter will bring?

Thoughts and Prayers for all impacted by Irene, Lee and now possibly Katia.

  3. I can't believe your neighbor would hit your fence and not admit it. I hope that all of the problems from the different hurricanes resolve and that everyone is doing well.
