I was so happy yesterday to finally see my first cousin Becky from Alabama after 65 years and to also meet her husband, Larry. It has been such a long time and they decided to come to Vicksburg for their 49th Wedding Anniversary and tour our historic civil war town. They are shown above at the Vicksburg Riverfront Murals that is a must see while here.
Afterwards, we went to eat on the rooftop at 10 South in downtown Vicksburg where you can see the Yazoo Diversion Canal, Lake Centennial and the mighty Mississippi River in the background and the bridges. The Grand American Queen was in town for half-a-day but they missed her. It is a great place to take pictures of sunsets as well. You can barely make out the Mississippi River in the background because the tarp was in place and was raining. Otherwise, it is an opened enclosure.
Sharing a view from 10 South Rooftop taken last week when the Queen of the Mississippi and the Grand American Queen were in town with their passengers touring. You can see the Vicksburg Riverfront Murals on the flood wall and also Children's Art Park at Catfish Row.
The rain finally stopped and took pictures at the Mississippi Welcome Center with I-20 and old Hwy 80 bridges in the background.
Cannons with American and Confederate flags down in front of the building.
Another shot of the bridges!
My first cousin, Becky and myself together again after 65 years.

Today is their 49th Wedding Anniversary and they will be touring our historic town and the Vicksburg National Military Park. My congratulations and wishing you both a very Happy 49th Anniversary and enjoy your stay!
