Dropped Fawns

Now through late August and September is not the best times to bush hog plots and fields. Doe's are starting to drop fawns and you take a chance of running over a newborn, plus they need cover to bed down in. Also remember that if you see a fawn, leave it alone. Resist the temptation of wanting to catch one thinking it was abandoned or something happened to momma. Also when a doe has twins she separates them apart from each other and she will also bed down away from them or leave every 4 to 6 hours to browse and drink water.
