A Dixie Lady Deer Hunter

Article by Fred Messina, editor of "On Target Outdoors" from The Vicksburg Evening Post on Friday, January 19, 1990. Photo by Bob Phillips.

Bob Phillips came up the other day with a photo of his wife Marian and a deer she got on Brown's Point New Years Eve. The deer was an 8-point with 16 inches of inside spread that weighed in at 190 pounds. A nice trophy in anyone's book. However, the tale Bob told is that this was Marian's fourth deer this year and he claimed that he would have done better than he did if he had not spent so much time hauling Marian's deer out of the woods. Come off it, Bob. We all know who the hunter was.

My New LED Hog Hunting Light!

I was contacted last month by Michael Chang of HOGZILLA LIGHTS to do a product review and in turn he would let me try out my very own LED Hog Hunting Light.

Soon, I will be going to the famous Christmas Place Plantation and Hunting Club in the MS Delta to hog hunt and see how this product works and take pictures of my hog kill.  The hog/predator hunting lights are completely dust-proof and highly water resistant.  That should say a lot right there and you can rest assured that mud, sand, and rain won't have a chance of ruining my hunt.
You do gain clarity and vision at night using the LED hog hunting lights and confidently take shots up to 200 yards.  Depending on your optics and magnification you will be able to spot, scan, and acquire targets at these distances.

My package included a LED Hog Hunting Light, a NEBO ProTec Universal Long Gun Light Mount (self-locking & adjusting mount design - no tools necessary) with lithium batteries and a charger.  I will be posting pictures of my hog hunt with my new LED hunting light, so please stay tune!

We have similar lamps too but to see where the dogs are in the garden when its dark :-)
You have to look into the swedish hunting blogs, there is a lot of hog hunting just now.
yesterday the roe buck hunting started. You only allowed to stalk and shoot with rifle. From 1st Oct its my turn with the dogs. I dont stalk them now. And we have very warm +24C. Difficult to take care of it
