Cool Trucks

Someone sent me these 7 pictures of (European) semi-trucks whose trailers are decorated to look like the sides are missing. The products they are hauling are painted on the sides and back. The first one is of a bottle of beer which looks so real, like it's coming out the side of the trailer.

A canvas tote bag.

Pepsi cases stacked on the ceiling, and it looks like the bottom of the trailer is empty.

The windshield facing the back and a driver has been painted in the driver's seat looking over his shoulder to appear like he's driving backwards.
An aquarium with fish swimming in it.

A bookshelf with books lined up and a post-it-note with an advertisement, probably for the company that sells the books. (Again, in a foreign language)

The last one is for Pringles-Hot & Spicy. The 'inside' of the trailer appears as though it has been through a fire. All painted on the outsides! Some really cool looking trucks!

Gonna Be A Bear

In this life I'm a woman. In my next life, I'd like to come back as a bear. When you're a bear, you get to hibernate. You do nothing but sleep for six months. I could deal with that

Before you hibernate, you're supposed to eat yourself stupid. I could deal with that too.

When you're a girl bear, you birth your children (who are the size of walnuts) while you're sleeping and wake up to partially grown, cute, cuddly cubs. I could definitely deal with that.

If you're a mama bear, everyone knows you mean business. You swat anyone who bothers your cubs. If your cubs get out of line, you swat them too. I could deal with that.

If you're a bear, your mate EXPECTS you to wake up growling. He EXPECTS that you will have hairy legs and excess body fat.

Yup, gonna be a bear! :)

DEER ATTACK!!!

Rob over at CamoSpace took some beautiful pictures of deer the early part of August. He said, "I caught a thunderstorm last week and decided to see what was ranging the river bottom. I was caught off guard and pleasantly surprised. A good day with the lens. This place can give anyone a heart attack".

Rob lives in Kerrville, TX, and back in March I featured him on my site of one of his many deer adventures in our great outdoors! Looks like he will have a very GOODHUNTING season!

Spotlighting Mississippi

Oxford, MS> Two University of Mississippi students from Vicksburg won a couple of the hottest tickets in town Thursday, joining about 150 lucky winners of an exclusive process for a chance to witness history. Laura Blackledge, a senior dietetics and nutrition major, and Colin Reid (below), a junior international studies major and Spanish minor, were informed their names had been pulled by Chancellor Robert Khayat from a pool of applications submitted online by students in positions of leadership for seats inside the Gertrude C. Ford Center for tonight’s planned presidential debate. Both students graduated from St. Aloysius High School in Vicksburg.

I watched ABC News reporter David Muir of ‘Good Morning America’ at Ameristar Casino this morning talking about Vicksburg. GMA is in Mississippi for the presidential debate in Oxford tonight. A minutes-long segment from Vicksburg included comments from residents discussing politics, the economy and sites of Vicksburg. Charming, Just Charming!

His Last Day As A Carpenter

Dave from Indiana sent me this cartoon earlier today and just had to share...he said, "Oh how good a good chuckle makes you feel"!

Happy Birthday Suzi

Here is a picture I took back in July of Suzi with Emma when I flew up for Emma's First Birthday Party in Fredericksburg, VA. She has a monkey that I bought her at the airport before I left that says, I Love Mississippi! Suzi put it around her neck. It make a horrible monkey noise but Emma loves it! That's what's important. It has sticky hands and feet and almost as big as she is! Today, my youngest daughter, Suzi, turns 36 years old at 8:05 this morning and I want to wish her a very Happy Birthday. I love and miss you both very, very much! Mom and Gran Gran

Tomorrows Legends~Our Youth!

I have a friend by the name of Susan (Camo1959) at MySpace and she is asking a favor. She needs people or groups that would like to be a part of the Older Legends Page on the Tomorrows Legends Web Site. Go to the link, then hit the Older Legends Page. She can link you to your personal email, or to your My Space page, or your Web Site. You will be getting free advertising. Plus you will be there in case one of the younger legends need some advice, and it does not cost anything to join.

She would like everyone to keep their ears open because she is needing a left handed bow for a young man in need of help. He is 12, and the family is having some medical problems. If you hear of someone trying to get rid of a used one, get them to get in contact with her. She said this is a great kid, and if the page can help him it would be great. Also, just because you are an adult does not mean you can't be part of the page. She is hoping to get people to start helping with it soon. She wants this to be in place to help kids everywhere, our state or yours. Please, if you join the forum it will help. Trying to get some of the big companies to help and if they see the page is becoming popular, they are more than likely want to be part of it. I have recently joined and I'm willing to help our finest young members in the great outdoors! (Susan's quote is: Take your kids hunting and you want be hunting your kids) This is a sweetthing!

Pictorial With A Virtual Moral Lesson!

Be careful what you put into your body,
health is too important to ignore.
Remember, your mother thinks you're cute...
even if no one else does.
Try to give a gentle lift to a friend in need.
Present yourself well and mind your manners.
Remember, no matter how much
you resemble your siblings,
you are still unique!

Don't worry about what you see in the mirror,
beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
When someone tries to surprise you,
let them think they got away with it.
Take time once in a while
to just
enjoy the moment.
Remember the buddy system...
because two have more fun than one!
Even the pretty ones are all alone sometime.

My New Deer Stand

A Mossy Oak ground blind around my stand.

Just took these pictures about an hour ago at our new camp called HWY 61 North Hunting Club. Yesterday, Bob and I went to the camp but forgot my memory card for my camera. DUH! I had climbed up in the stand and put my mat in, chair and ground blind around it. I have a tin roof but the top was bent in moving, so it's laying on ground. I have a half camo umbrella that I will use in case of inclement weather. I will also use my GunTriever and Hunt Smart and Think Safety first. I'm real excited about hunting this new camp. One of the hunters yesterday told us that last year they harvested 30 deer at the camp. Who knows, I might get the BIG ONE walking around in our great outdoors!

If Dogs Could Speak

'The leg might be broken, but I can still annoy the fluff of you!'

'Mum said all I have to do is give you puppy eyes and you'll feed me. How'm I doin'...?'
'I don't get it. Where's the milk?!'
'Think you're good, huh? Just wait till I sneeze.'
'HIDE AND SEEK

'If the puppy eyes don't work, use more conventional methods.'

'I...hate....you....'
