Rain, Blue Skies, Wrecks and Traffic Jams

The clouds finally broke apart so the sun could shine over downtown Vicksburg. This picture was taken from the top of the Old Court House Museum. We have had rain here for weeks, but the clear skies and cool temps are on the menu at least into late next week. So far this month we have received 9.07 inches of rain. That is a lot of rain!

We have had numerous wrecks...here is one shown here. This is I-20 west bound and Bob and I saw this wreck while traveling the frontage road to the left going east. A pier has shifted on the I-20 overpass from MS to LA and workers are working on the bridge which is causing an everyday backup of cars and trucks.

Here is a night picture that I took of I-20 Friday night. It's a little blurry but you can still see how two lanes of traffic are moving slowly and for miles. What a mess! It will be like this for another week while they finish work on the Mississippi River bridge.
