This 15-foot Diamondback Rattlesnake was caught recently at the Saint Augustine, Florida Outlet Mall. It's the biggest ever caught on record. Check the size of the fangs compared to the pocket knife blade. OMG!
Sorry to blow up the post, but this snake was nowhere near 15 feet ... in fact, it was less than half that, and it was caught in October of last year. it was 6' 10". The photographs are in front of distant objects and the snake is at the end of a large pole.
The reason I corrected the article is because I see it going around and around in email forwards and the like, always getting bigger, always being more aggressive ... etc. It's simply bad information, making people needlessly fearful, and then snakes like the above which could easily and safely be relocated are instead killed due to a poorly educated public.

Whether that snake is 15' or 6', It's a BIG one. I would not like to run into that thing.
