So proud to have another paddlewheeler named the American Eagle to grace our historical town of Vicksburg, MS. Yesterday was her very first time to dock here and show herself off. What a beauty she is! I made it down to the waterfront around 5:00 when the American Eagle was pulling away to continue the trip to the mouth of the MS River. (Seen here in the Yazoo Diversion Canal). I took a few pictures and made it to the MS Welcome Center to get her going under the bridges as she passed by. I'm looking forward to her return in the near future loaded down with enthusiastic passengers. This is so great for tourism in my hometown of Vicksburg ~ The Key To The South!
