This is from Simpson County Mississippi... Killed today. NOTE: The snake looks much bigger in the picture due to the camera angle.

Lived in Eldorado, ARK, as a kid in the 1950's. They used to have an annual, town rattlesnake hunt. The 'harvest' always brought in the small ones.... never anything the size of the one shown in the picture. One year, Mom discovered one in the garage that quickly made for the center drain hole. With all the yelling and screaming.... the viper had to be every bit of 20 feet long, and capable of killing an elephant. I think that was the year when all the housewives asked for pistols for Christmas.
