My congratulations to all the hunters in our great wild and wonderful Mississippi outdoors! Good luck this coming hunting season 2020-2021!
My Facebook friend, Kareen Beinhauer had good luck night before last hog hunting in Alpine, Texas. In her own words, this is what she had to say about her hunt.
I haven't been posting about the hogs because I have been having so much bad luck with them lately. SD cards showed that boar that I have been playing cat and mouse with showing up at almost midnight. I got to the blind about 10:35 p.m. and sure enough, I could see a hog running off. Crap! I still went to sit out and figured I would see nothing. Coons came in and one buck. It was getting close to the time that I would leave and then all of a sudden he was there. I could not believe it! At that moment in time I don't feel the weight of the rifle or anything else. I am just focused on putting the scope on my sight and I did and pulled the trigger and down he went! I am so freaking happy!
Hog #177
My congratulations to my hog hunting friend in our great wild and wonderful Texas outdoors! Way to go, Kareen!
My Granddaughter Emma took this selfie for her 13th Birthday today! I got to sing and talk to her earlier this morning and she told me she will be having her favorite "strawberry cake" for her birthday. Wishing Emma who is officially a teenager now and living in Virginia, a very Happy Birthday! Gran Gran loves and misses you so much and have a wonderful and blessed day! xoxo

This young man, David Liebherr, is my cousin and his Mom is my second cousin. He went to the river with his Dad Saturday morning and this is what David had to say.
It was the first time fishing with him in years! It was very good for the soul. We started out with a small dry worm, caught a small bullhead catfish, cut it up for bait, and caught this big one! The lesson I learned; be thankful for the small things in life and invest in them, eventually with patience you will catch bigger and better things.
I'm glad he took his Dad with him to fish while making precious family memories. Congratulations to my cousin David in our great wild and wonderful outdoors of Waukesha, Wisconsin!
Jeremy Hirch of Hattiesburg, Mississippi is showing off a state record saltwater catfish. A record is a record in our great wild and wonderful Mississippi outdoors! Way to go, Jeremy! Been there done that!
