Beauty Out My Front Door

As I step out my front door you're almost blinded by the beauty of the trees across the street of yellow and orange.  Of course, it want last long now with a storm headed this way later today and winter starting next week.  I don't remember it being this pretty last year but glad to be able to enjoy the fall foliage mid-December.

At top is a huge limb from an oak tree next door.

A huge water oak tree that hangs over our house from next door.

Used to be four huge oak trees next door but one was cut down.

Thanks DeanO...been here since '91 and have been afraid that this big tree will fall on our house one day. I hope not...have had a limb to hit the house during an ice storm and did some damage and a limb to go through our windshield during a storm and one to fall on a roof of a vehicle we once had. During Katrina you could not see the driveway for all the limbs that had fallen. Good thing we had our car in the street at the time. If I ever move again...I don't want to be near a big ole tree! :)
