A nice field for the deer to come out and browse.
After we came back from our morning hunt we were trying to decide where to put Ethan for his evening hunt. Herschel "The Chief" Howell, Rex's Dad, suggested that I take him to his Duck Pond Stand because he has seen deer and hogs there. He drove me over to the site by way of the main road and it looked like a great spot with easy access. Their are two stands at the pond and this one was just built recently for him. We would have pretty of room to move around and when it came time we took off and got to the stand and hunted. While there we had mallard ducks to land in the pond in front of us, but were spooked within seconds and took off. Nothing walked out and was decided after we got back to camp that, 'Lucky' Paul (Rex's brother), would take Ethan with him the next morning to hunt again in the great outdoors!

It must be a really great feeling to take a grandchild into the woods and teach them about nature. My best of luck to him on the hunt.
