We are back home from a wonderful trip out west to Santa Fe, New Mexico to visit our family. The rest of the week I will be posting pictures of our vacation along with art and interesting people we met while there. My step son-in-law, Ron, is part owner of three Artisan stores (Santa Fe, Albuquerque and Taos) which is the art supply store of the southwest. He is also an accomplished musician and has a band called the High Altitude Band and has recorded a CD. He organized the May IAPS 2007 (International Association of Pastels Societies) expo. There is a YouTube video of Ron explaining the rich learning opportunities that you can achieve by networking with other artists.
We did have an interesting trip home yesterday and was delayed for two hours in Albuquerque, NM, due to a radar breakdown in Memphis, TN. Bob, having to be transported by wheelchair, was boarded on first only to be stopped twice at the door of the cockpit and returned to wait with other frustrating travelers on a full flight to Atlanta. The third boarding was the charm! We were lucky that our layover was four hours (minus two) and we did not miss our connection coming home. In the moment you have to just go with the flow and enjoy the journey/adventure along the way.
