Recently, we visited our friends, Billy and Peggy on Boys Scout Road, north of town. Peggy told me that they see deer all the time in their back yard and they come up out of the bottom from here.
Deer walk over and eat acorns at the top of the hill while browsing in their backyard.
Peggy also feeds the deer corn which they just love and has a trail running back behind the house and garage.
Their home is located next to power lines and have been told through the years that this is a great spot to hunt. You can't t tell from the overgrowth but an apartment complex and homes are located in the area.
They make their way back down to the other side of the ridge eating all the way. I think she has really spoiled them rotten.
Peggy also showed me a homemade feeder below on an opposite ridge and said that it did not take them long to learn how to get more feed from it.
