Jon Edward King, 7, killed this nice 7-point buck on December 15 while hunting in North Warren County with his father, Eddie King. Jon Edward used a .243 to fell the deer.
This is Kelle Griffith who was hunting with her Dad, Andy. Kelle is 11 years old and last season harvested two does. Yay, another upcoming huntress! I took her picture while Andy and my grandson, Carl (who's 17 years old), were looking again for his deer he shot at. It was an 10-point buck off of my stand on the top field! He said around 5:00 p.m. he was getting cold and decided to come off my stand. As he was stretching, he turned to his left and saw a buck coming up out of a bottom, which probably came off of Mill Pond, which is another club next to our camp. As the buck was about to cross the road, Carl said he got the binoculars out and counted the horns and saw it was a 10-pt. He said he whistled at the deer to make him stop walking. It was a 140 yard shot but there was a lot of overhanging tree limbs from him to the deer. After he shot, he got down to look for the deer, but no luck. We all surmised after helping him look for the deer again, that the bullet was deflected by a branch. Carl was disappointed that he missed and so was I, but it was exciting that he saw a 10-point buck. I enjoyed hunting with my grandson, even though he did not get the big one, but the time spent together was priceless!

This is looking to right side of the stand where I came in on the four-wheeler. A good area to hunt, but nothing walked out.
This is what I was looking out at on the left side of my stand (F-4) which is the same one I was in for the film documentary(posted Dec. 17). To the right is another camp called "Homewood" that is backed up against my camp, Jasper Bottom Hunting Club. I heard a shot off of Homewood about 5:15.

These are pictures of an actual polar bear attack in Alaska. These pictures were taken while people watched and could do nothing to stop the attack! Reports from the local newspaper say that the victim should make a full recovery. This is not for the squeamish......

Ten-year-old Blaine Butler shows off her 9-point buck she killed on Saturday morning while hunting on DeSoto Island with her dad, William. She shot the deer at about 50 yards with a .243.
Garrett Grey bagged this 8-point buck while hunting on Dec. 9 on private land. He made the 50-yard shot with a .308 rifle.

Courtany Sanders also killed her first deer while in Fayette. She is the daughter of Richard and Lisa Sanders.
Six-year-old Robi Riggin of Learned killed his first buck while hunting with his dad, Rob Riggin, on November 25 on family land near Learned. The four-point buck measured 6-inches tall and weighed 160 pounds. He used a .223 caliber rifle at 100 yards to make a perfect shot.
This one was harvested last weekend and is a cousin of one of the firefighters that works with Gary, her husband. As soon as I get the story on this hunt, I will post it for you. What a monster!
I have a MySpace friend from Cornith, MS, that sent me these photos to my site. She said she had a little news from her neck of the woods, that her friends cousin killed the first buck over this past weekend and also found locked up bucks. Actually, both not far from the same area near Walnut, MS, where we were for the Thanksgiving Day. The other deer was taken around Dumas about 15 to 20 miles from her. She said I needed to come back up north and hunt! You don't say! She's all excited, because she is a lady hunter also! Hopefully, she will get a deer soon. 
Logan Sanders killed his first deer while hunting in Fayette. The son of Mikey and Haley Truesdell and Richard Sanders is one smiling, proud outdoorsman.
Hunting must run in the family as Mayson Wade also killed his first deer while hunting in Warren County with his dad, Ben. The 125-pound, 3-pointer was taken down with a 7mm-08.
Madison Wade used a 7mm-08 to bag her first deer, a 100-pound doe she killed on November 24 while hunting with her dad, Ben Wade. Madison made the shot while hunting in north Warren County. A brother and sister hunting. This is a sweetthing!

This photo was taken from The Vicksburg Post of a plane dressed up in holiday regalia, sitting on the side of U.S. 61 south near Port Gibson, MS, approximately 30 miles from Vicksburg. The plane is owned by Wayne Brown of Port Gibson and is a Grumman Gulfstream G1 that was abandoned by the government for years in a hangar at the Vicksburg Municipal Airport. Brown said he will eventually convert the plane into a deer camp!
This couple (John and Michelle Brubaker) got married on Sept. 21 and had this recorded for family and friends. When they came back from their honeymoon millions of people were watching it on YouTube. They were on the Ellen Show today. He works for the San Diego Firefighters. After they performed their wedding dance again, Ellen presented them with a cruise in the San Diego harbor with 20 of their friends as a prize. Enjoy!
Tricia, our next door neighbor, came by tonight and told Bob and I that her husband David (Dave) had just past away. Dave had been battling colon cancer for the last two years or so. Dave was 53. He was the nicest person you would ever want to meet and very dedicated to his family and work. He leaves his wife, mother, a daughter and son. He will be sadly missed. May he rest in peace!
Ruby Buford, of Vicksburg, killed this eight-point buck on Nov. 24 while hunting with her husband Pete in Claiborne county. The nice 225-pound buck was shot with a .243 at a range of 75 yards.
Kristen Buchanan shot this 105 pound doe on November 15 at Magnolia Hunting Club. She made the shot at 25 yards with a 7mm-.08.
Collin Magoun, 8, was hunting with his Dad, Bo Magoun, in Claiborne County when he took down his first deer, a nice 10-pointer that scored a 126 with a 13-inch wide rack. He made the shot with a .223 from about 25 yards away.
Allie Willis, 10, is all smiles after bagging her first buck on November 15. She killed the 225-pound, 8-pointer on family land north of Mayersville. She made the shot with a .2143 Winchester from about 70 yards away. The buck's rack came in at 17 inches long and 16 inches wide. Allie is the daughter of Mitchell and Suzanne Willis of Vicksburg.
Timothy Wright, 10, killed this nine-point buck with a .243 rifle in South Warren County on Nov. 23. Wright was hunting with his father. It was his second buck of the year.
Seven-year-old Sean Daily's first buck was a beauty. He killed this 200-pound, 11-point monster in Copiah County on Nov. 22. The deer had a gross Boone and Crockett scored of over 140 inches. Daily was hunting with his uncle, Vince Barber, on family farm land when he made the 75-yard shot with a .243 rifle. Sean is the son of Vicksburg residents Dan and Miriam Daily, and the grandson of Victor and Gerry Barber, formerly of Vicksburg.
Alivia and Jason Odom shot this 120-pound doe at Delta Point Hunting Club. Alivia used a .30-caliber rifle to make the 70-yard shot. The deer ran another 50 years before they tracked it down.
