This deer has been tagged, "The Mitchell Buck" and was harvested by Jay Mitchell shown above. It has 18 scoreable points, 16" wide, and roughly scored 184 7/8 gross. As the story goes...Mitchell was hunting 150 yards from his Dad and the deer was chasing does in between them. After about five minutes of catching glimpses of this deer, it ran right under his stand at 10 yards broadside. It was harvested in the Mississippi Delta on the family farm in Carroll County outside of Greenwood, MS, around Seven Pines. His sheds from last year was a main frame 10 with forked G2's and scored 163. Congratulations to Jay Michell in our great outdoors! Charming, Just Charming!

Hog Daddy - never heard it called that before - I hope I get a hog daddy like that one!! :)
Yes, we do grow them big here. :) Will post a lady tomorrow that has 3 kids and a former Miss Vicksburg bagging a nice trophy buck with her bow on Oct. 1st.
Thanks for coming by Tom and jdp!
I thought he was holding a tree .Maybe thats why I can't kill any big deer here in Tennessee they all look like trees and I've been climbing them to hunt. Really I know Jay's proud of this deer and with every right to be and to have the sheds from last year to accompany the mount on the wall is going to be a story he'll tell for years to come. Way to go Jay.
