I took this picture the other day of a Dogwood Tree that lends over in our front yard from next door. The red berries are so bright and with the sun casting a nice glow, I thought it really made for a nice photo. (This picture was published in The Vicksburg Post, Sunday, November 16, 2008).

Dogwood Tree With Berries

That is beautiful Marian. A forest full of blooming dogwood trees in the springtime is also a sight to behold.

Thanks jdp - I noticed it while walking our peek-a-poo, Katie, and thought that would really make a nice picture. I may enter it in our local paper and see if they will publish it. I like the contrast....and it's always good to see you dropping by for a visit. :)
It really does make for a beautiful photograph. The shadows and light is perfect. The composition is very well done. I would say go right ahead and enter it in the paper... I think it is a definite thumbs up picture!! =)
I must agree with taking it to the paper to see about getting your picture published. ;)
