A Sunday Walk In Vicksburg National Miltary Park

A closer picture of Jefferson Davis.

A full frontal shot!

A wildflower between a rock and a hard place!

Lieutenant John C. Pemberton's Circle

I took this picture of a couple of cannons on my walk.

One of many erosions in the Vicksburg National Military Park due to massive amounts of rainfall in the last two months.

The Vicksburg National Cemetery is the second-largest national cemetery embracing 116 acres inside the Vicksburg National Military Park.  It holds the remains of 17,000 Civil War Union soldiers, a number unmatched by any other national cemetery.
