Jack's Awesome Turkey Trophy

Jack Faulkner killed a trophy of a lifetime recently in Monroe County, Smithville, Mississippi.  This is a domestic turkey called a Royal Palm and one of the few turkeys not primarily selected for meat production.  It is best known as an ornamental bird with a unique appearance, largely white with a band of metallic black.

He should definitely have this beautiful bird mounted and the good news is...it will not count towards his three bag limit.

Check out the shadow from his hat on the tree...looks like a bird and who has who?  My congratulations to this young man making some fond memories that will last a lifetime in our great wild and wonderful Mississippi outdoors!
