He made the 50-yard shot with a .44 Magnum rifle and said he had just finished eating a pack of donuts when the buck came into view.
William Ross killed this 190-pound, 10-point buck with a .45/70 rifle on private land. The buck had an 18-inch spread.
Kacie Whittington, 15, killed her first buck on Christmas Eve while hunting in South Warren County with her brother, Chris. The 8-point buck had a 22-inch main beam, had a 15-inch main spread and weighed 180 pounds. Kacie used a .270 rifle to make the shot.
